Luncheons 

Resume December 2021

Our Monthly Veterans Appreciation Luncheons will resume the 3rd Saturday of the month; the next luncheon is scheduled for 12.18.21 at the VFW Post Special Meeting room. 

 

Special 9-11 Memorial

Operation Red White & Blue to assist in local 9/11 Memorial Luncheon for First Responders.  Along with the American Legion, VFW, Blue Star Mothers MOAA, Granbury JROTC Honor Guard and local vendors, we are playing  a small part by providing volunteers and assisting with publicity.  If you would like to donate to help pay for the meal of a first responder please contact the local VFW at 817-573-9350

Operation Red White and Blue contacted WFAA Channel 8 and CBS Channel 11 to cover the story about a local veterans, Rick & Tracy Daily, USAF, whose home burned down on June 12. With more media coverage we have been able to raise money to cover expenses not covered by insurance.

Our upcoming veterans appreciation luncheon on July 17, 2021 from 12:00pm-1:30 at 3670 Hwy. 377 Granbury,  TX76048 will feature keynote speaker SGT. Chris Watson, a native of Hood County, who served in 3 combat deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom (Anbar Province.) You don't want to miss this one!!

Operation Red White & Blue organized 3 "Operation Elder Vet Care" drives during the Pandemic in 2020, and filled 300 gift sacks for veterans in Hood, Erath, Parker, Johnson & Somervell Counties!

Operation Red White & Blue helps organize a retreat/reunion weekend for OIF/OEF Ground Support Equipment Marines who've lost 14 comrades to suicide.

Operation Elder Vet Care a huge success! Over 200 gift sacks were assembled with donations from the community for elderly veterans quarantined in nursing and assisted living facilities in Hood, Parker, Erath, Somervell & Johnson Counties.​

Committed Volunteers

Our monthly veterans appreciation luncheons are held at the local VFW in a large non-smoking special events room separate from the canteen area. Parking available in the back behind the fence. Use Special Events Entrance.

We are always looking for committed volunteers to help us with various projects and with ongoing services for veterans. Please contact us today for more information about how you can volunteer. 

We also have opportunities for students who need community service hours.

Guest speakers

Your tax deductible donation will go toward honoring and serving veterans in your community.  We can provide you with a tax donation receipt for your records.

We have some pretty amazing guest speaker at our functions. We have had two WW2 Iwo Jima Survivors, a 99 yr. old B-29 flight navigator that was shot down over Japan and captured, a female Marine who was a finalist in the Ms. Veteran America Contest, and many more.
